Friday Sermon

“O my tongue, say what is good and beneficial you will benefit and let silence be your safeguard against evil, do that before it is too late when you suffer regret and sorrow“. (Supplication of Ibn Masood ral praying at Safa Hills in Mecca ) رُوِيَ عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ عَلَى الصَّفَا يُلَبِّي وَيَقُولُ يَا لِسَانِي قُلْ خَيْراً تَغْنَمْ، وَاسْكُتْ عَنْ الشَّرِّ تَسْلَمْ، مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تَنْدَمْ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday May 17th, 2019 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 12th of Ramadan 1440 Hijri.

“Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and to guard their chastity. This would be more preferable and redeeming for them, and Allah is well acquainted with what they are doing”. (Quran 24:30) قُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا فُرُوجَهُمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ أَزْكَىٰ لَهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّـهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday May 10th, 2019 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 5th of Ramadan 1440 Hijri.

“You have a good model in Allah’s Messenger to follow, for someone who hopes to meet Allah [with true faith and sincerity], who has good aspirations for the Last Day, and who keeps celebrating Allah’s praises”. (Quran 33:21) لَّقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّـهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِّمَن كَانَ يَرْجُو اللَّـهَ وَالْيَوْمَ الْآخِرَ وَذَكَرَ اللَّـهَ كَثِيرًا Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday May 3rd, 2019 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 28th of Shaban 1440 Hijri.

“[O believers!] You were the best of nations that was brought out for the benefit of humanity. You enjoin what is good and beneficial, forbid what is wrong and despised, and you believe in the Supreme Divine Sovereign Lord”. (Quran 3:110) كُنتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّـهِ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday April 26th, 2019 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 21st of Shaban 1440 Hijri.

“Here I submit my endeavors before Allah, for Allah always sees what His created servants are doing. Allah then protected him against their ruse” (Quran 40:44-45 ) وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمْرِي إِلَى اللَّـهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّـهَ بَصِيرٌ بِالْعِبَادِ فَوَقَاهُ اللَّـهُ سَيِّئَاتِ مَا مَكَرُوا Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday February 22nd, 2019 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 17th of Jamadu-Thani 1440 Hijri.

“And We sent you to all humanity as a carrier of glad tidings and as a warner, but most people do not know that.” (Quran 34:28 ) وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا كَافَّةً لِّلنَّاسِ بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday February 15th, 2019 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 10th of Jamadu-Thani 1440 Hijri.
