Friday Sermon

“The entire seven heavenly firmaments and the earth along with everything therein, they all celebrate His praises, and there is nothing that does but exalt His praises, even though you do not understand their prayers, and yet, He is certainly most forbearing and Oft-Forgiving”. (Qur’an 17:44) تُسَبِّحُ لَهُ السَّمَاوَاتُ السَّبْعُ وَالْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهِنَّ ۚ وَإِن مِّن شَيْءٍ إِلَّا يُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِهِ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday August 30th, 2019 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 29nd of Dhul Hijja 1440 Hijri.

“And when My servants ask you about Me, I am indeed near, and I surely answer the prayers of one who calls upon Me. Hence, they must respond to My call, and put their faith in Me in order to attain guidance and reach true understanding”. (Qur’an 2:186) وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ ۖ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday August 16th, 2019 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 15th of Dhul Hijja 1440 Hijri.

“Surely my Lord is Allah, Whom there is no Divine Sovereign except Him, I depend on Him and He is the Lord of the Magnificent Throne. إِنَّ رَبِّيَ اللهُ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday July 26th, 2019 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 23rd of Dhil Qi’da 1440 Hijri.

“To Him belongs everyone in the heavens and earth, and those who are in His nearness do not disdain from worshiping Him and they do not tire. They exalt His praises night and day and they do not slacken.”. (Quran 21:19-20) يُسَبِّحُونَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ لَا يَفْتُرُونَ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday July 19th, 2019 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the16th of Dhil Qi’da 1440 Hijri.

“And call humanity to perform the pilgrimage. They will come to you on foot, and others will come riding from far distant places”. (Quran 22:27) وَأَذِّن فِي النَّاسِ بِالْحَجِّ يَأْتُوكَ رِجَالًا وَعَلَىٰ كُلِّ ضَامِرٍ يَأْتِينَ مِن كُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِيقٍ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday July 5th, 2019 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 2nd of Dhil Qi’da 1440 Hijri.

“Moses said to him: “Should I follow you to teach me some of the wisdom that was taught to you?” He replied: “You certainly do not have the required patience to endure long enough with me.” “And how can you bring yourself to bear with something which its intended purpose requires knowledge you do not have.” Moses said: “Should Allah will it so, you will find me patient, and I will never disobey any of your orders.” He said: “If you should follow me, then do not ask me anything unless I mention it to you”. (Quran 18:66-70) قَالَ لَهُ مُوسَىٰ هَلْ أَتَّبِعُكَ عَلَىٰ أَن تُعَلِّمَنِ مِمَّا عُلِّمْتَ رُشْدًا قَالَ فَإِنِ اتَّبَعْتَنِي فَلَا تَسْأَلْنِي عَن شَيْءٍ حَتَّىٰ أُحْدِثَ لَكَ مِنْهُ…

“Bear patiently with the decree of your Lord, for you are protected [against all events] by Our direct gaze”. (Quran 52:48) وَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday June 21th, 2019 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 18th of Shawwal 1440 Hijri..”

“And avoid altogether what is clearly unlawful, and what you are not sure about, [stay away from sin clear and hidden]. Those who garner sin will meet with the exact retribution for what they have committed.” (Quran 6:120) وَذَرُوا ظَاهِرَ الْإِثْمِ وَبَاطِنَهُ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday June 14th, 2019 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 11th of Shawwal 1440 Hijri..”
