Friday Sermon

“[O people!] Believe in Allah and in His Messenger, and spend [in charity] from what He deputized you to spend from [according to His laws]. Those amongst you who believe and spend [for the sake of Allah] will receive a great reward”. (Quran 57:7 ) آمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَأَنفِقُوا مِمَّا جَعَلَكُم مُّسْتَخْلَفِينَ فِيهِ ۖ فَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنكُمْ وَأَنفَقُوا لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Muhammad Al-Akili on Friday April 16th, 2021 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 4th of Ramadan 1442 Hijri.

“O children of Adam! Wear your garments in modesty at every mosque. Eat your food and quench your thirst without excesses, for Allah does not like those who are wasteful ”. (Quran 7:31 ) يَا بَنِي آدَمَ خُذُوا زِينَتَكُمْ عِندَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ وَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا وَلَا تُسْرِفُوا ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Muhammad Al-Akili on Friday April 9th, 2021 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 27th of Sha’ban 1442 Hijri.

“Our Lord! We have heard a harbinger calling (everyone to have) faith; “Believe in your Lord;” – and we consented and believed. Our Lord! Forgive us our sins, erase our misdeeds and place us when we die among the true ones [to their Lord]”. (Quran 3:193 ) رَّبَّنَا إِنَّنَا سَمِعْنَا مُنَادِيًا يُنَادِي لِلْإِيمَانِ أَنْ آمِنُوا بِرَبِّكُمْ فَآمَنَّا ۚ رَبَّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَكَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئَاتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ الْأَبْرَارِ  Friday Khutba by Shaykh Muhammad Al-Akili on Friday April 2nd, 2021 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 20th of Sha’ban 1442 Hijri.

“Say: “My Salat prayers, my devotion, my sacrifices, my life and my death are in reality all dedicated to the Divine Sovereign Lord of all creation.” ﴾162﴿ “He has no associate [or partner]. This is what I was commanded to follow, and I am the first to submit [to Him]”. (Quran 6:162-163 ) قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّـهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ۖ وَبِذَٰلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Muhammad Al-Akili on Friday March 26st, 2021 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 13th of Sha’ban 1442 Hijri.

“My servants… these are your own deeds that I am reckoning you for, therefore, let whoever finds goodness thank Allah, and whoever finds other than that, then let him blame no one but himself”. (Hadith Qudsi) يَا عِبَادِي إِنَّمَا هِيَ أَعْمَالُكُمْ أُحْصِيهَا علَيكُمْ، فَمَنْ وَجَدَ خَيْرًا؛ فَلْيَحْمَدِ اللهَ، وَمَنْ وَجَدَ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ؛ فَلَا يَلُومَنَّ إِلَّا نَفْسَهُ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Muhammad Al-Akili on Friday March 19th, 2021 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 6th of Sha’ban 1442 Hijri.

”[O people!] Acknowledge and respond to the call of your Lord before an immutable Day comes and which is beyond repeal by Allah”. (Quran 42:47) اسْتَجِيبُوا لِرَبِّكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَ يَوْمٌ لَّا مَرَدَّ لَهُ مِنَ اللَّـهِ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Muhammad Al-Akili on Friday March 5th, 2021 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 21st of Rajab 1442 Hijri.

”And pray for your Lord’s forgiveness, then come back to Him in repentance [and devotion], He will grant you a comfortable life [in this world] for an appointed term, and endow those who do good with His favors, but if you turn your back and walk away, I fear for you the chastisement of a Grand Day. Your eventual return is back to Allah assuredly, and He is the One Who has supreme power over all things”. (Quran 11:3-4) وَأَنِ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوا إِلَيْهِ يُمَتِّعْكُم مَّتَاعًا حَسَنًا إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى وَيُؤْتِ كُلَّ ذِي فَضْلٍ فَضْلَهُ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Muhammad Al-Akili on Friday February 26th, 2021 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 14th of Rajab 1442 Hijri.

”And this is the path of your Lord, straightforward with its rectitude. Thus, We have effectively detailed the signs for people who take heed. [Paradise] is the abode of Peace which is reserved for them, wherein they dwell permanently in the presence of their Lord, and they are also under His protection throughout their striving”. (Quran 6:126-127) وَهَـٰذَا صِرَاطُ رَبِّكَ مُسْتَقِيمًا ۗ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَذَّكَّرُونَ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Muhammad Al-Akili on Friday February 19th, 2021 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 7th of Rajab 1442 Hijri.

  ”What Allah decrees is a sure timely destiny”. (Quran 33:38) وَكَانَ أَمْرُ اللَّـهِ قَدَرًا مَّقْدُورًا  Friday Khutba by Shaykh Muhammad Al-Akili on Friday February 12th, 2021 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 30th of Jamad-u Thani 1442 Hijri.

”And the near ones in the presence of your Lord always celebrate His praises night and day, and never tire or slack of continuously glorifying Him”. (Quran 41:38) فَالَّذِينَ عِندَ رَبِّكَ يُسَبِّحُونَ لَهُ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْأَمُونَ  Friday Khutba by Shaykh Muhammad Al-Akili on Friday February 5th, 2021 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 23rd of Jamad-u Thani 1442 Hijri.
