Khutba

Reckon yourself Before the Day of Reckoning

Omar Bin Al-Khattab [ral] said: “Reckon yourselves before you are brought in for reckoning, weigh yourselves, your true worth before your are weighed, for reckoning yourselves today will make it easier for you tomorrow on the Day of Reckoning, and wear your best cloak for the Grand Day of Parade, for on that Day you will be totally exposed, and nothing of you will be hidden“. Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday June 23rd 2017 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 28th of Ramadan 1438 Hijri.

The Spirit of Zakat

“Such ones who fulfill their Covenant with their Lord and they do not violate the trust. They also maintain the bond [with their families] according to what Allah has decreed, they fear to displease their Lord and dread the outcome of a strict accountability [on the Day of Judgment], and they seek the pleasure of their Lord, hold to their ordained Salat prayers regularly, spend privately and openly from what We provided for them, and apply good measure to repel what is wrong. Such ones will reap the good reward of the final abode”. Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday June 9th 2017 C.E. at…

Invoke Allah’s Blessings On Him

“Indeed Allah is continuously endowing the Prophet with His Grace, and the malã’ika angels too; they are constantly invoking Allah’s blessings on him. O believers! Invoke Allah’s blessings on him, and adhere openly to his precise guidance without any reservation”. Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday May 19th 2017 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 22nd of Shaban 1438 Hijri.

Seeking Divine Forgiveness

“Should My servants ask you about Me, I am indeed near, and I surely answer the prayers of one who calls upon Me. Hence, they must respond to My call, and put their faith in Me in order to attain guidance and reach true understanding”. Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday May 12th 2017 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 15th of Shaban 1438 Hijri.

The Lawful and the Harmful

“Abraham enjoined this faith [and covenant] on his children, and so did Jacob, saying: ‘O my children, Allah chose the religion for you; hence, strive not to die except [as Muslims] in surrender.’ “. Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday May 5th 2017 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 8th of Shaban 1438 Hijri.

Humbleness, the Winning Bargain

“Say: “If you truly love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your sins, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Compassionate.” Say: “Obey Allah and the Messenger.” But if they turn their backs and walk away, then Allah does not like those who deny the truth”. Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday April 21st 2017 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 24th of Rajab 1438 Hijri.

A Just Reminder

“Who [except Him is there to] maintain the needs of each and every living being [individually], and Who then rewards each soul according to what it earns?” Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday March 31st 2017 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 3rd of Rajab 1438 Hijri.

Plain Talk About the Last Hour

“Fairness and justice is what My Lord has commanded, and that your prostration be exclusively to Him at every mosque, and to invoke Him devoting your religious life with sincerity solely to Him. As He brought you into being, you will be brought back”. Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday March 31st 2017 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 3rd of Rajab 1438 Hijri.

Reminding with Azan

“And [remember] when your Lord brought out from the children of Adam their descendants from their loins and made them testify on themselves [saying]: “Am I not your Lord?” They replied: “Yes, indeed. We bear witness to that.” – [He said:] “So that you may not say on the Day of Resurrection: We truly were unaware of that”. Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday March 24th 2017 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 25th of Jamadu-Thani 1438 Hijri.

O Living Lord, Please Forgive Us

“So how far do you want to go [with your disobedience and evil suspicion]? This Quran is certainly a critical reminder to all people. Addressing whoever among you seeks to take a straight path [to his Lord]. And your will has no effect unless Allah Wills it so, [and He is] the Lord of all creations”. Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday March 17th 2017 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 18th of Jamadu-Thani 1438 Hijri.
