“Abraham enjoined this faith [and covenant] on his children, and so did Jacob, saying: ‘O my children, Allah chose the religion for you; hence, strive not to die except [as Muslims] in surrender.’ “. “We sent you with the Message of Truth, as a bearer of glad tidings and as a warner; and there is not a single nation that did not have a warner”. (Quran 35:24) إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا ۚ وَإِن مِّنْ أُمَّةٍ إِلَّا خَلَا فِيهَا نَذِيرٌ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday April 28th 2017 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 2nd of Shaban 1438 Hijri.
“Say: “If you truly love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your sins, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Compassionate.” Say: “Obey Allah and the Messenger.” But if they turn their backs and walk away, then Allah does not like those who deny the truth”. (Quran 3:31-32) قُلْ إِن كُنتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّـهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّـهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّـهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday April 21st 2017 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 24th of Rajab 1438 Hijri.
“On that Day, [some] faces will beam with light, looking at their Lord. (Quran 75:22-23) وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاضِرَةٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday April 14th 2017 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 17th of Rajab 1438 Hijri.
“Who [except Him is there to] maintain the needs of each and every living being [individually], and Who then rewards each soul according to what it earns?” (Quran 13:33) أَفَمَنْ هُوَ قَائِمٌ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday March 31st 2017 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 3rd of Rajab 1438 Hijri.
“Fairness and justice is what My Lord has commanded, and that your prostration be exclusively to Him at every mosque, and to invoke Him devoting your religious life with sincerity solely to Him. As He brought you into being, you will be brought back”. (Quran 7:29) قُلْ أَمَرَ رَبِّي بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ وَأَقِيمُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ عِندَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ وَادْعُوهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ ۚ كَمَا بَدَأَكُمْ تَعُودُونَ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday March 31st 2017 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 3rd of Rajab 1438 Hijri.
“And [remember] when your Lord brought out from the children of Adam their descendants from their loins and made them testify on themselves [saying]: “Am I not your Lord?” They replied: “Yes, indeed. We bear witness to that.” – [He said:] “So that you may not say on the Day of Resurrection: We truly were unaware of that”. (Quran 7:172) وَإِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِن بَنِي آدَمَ مِن ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَأَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِهِمْ أَلَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday March 24th 2017 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 25th of Jamadu-Thani 1438 Hijri.
“So how far do you want to go [with your disobedience and evil suspicion]? This Quran is certainly a critical reminder to all people. Addressing whoever among you seeks to take a straight path [to his Lord]. And your will has no effect unless Allah Wills it so, [and He is] the Lord of all creations”. (Quran 81:27-29) فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ * إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعَالَمِينَ * لِمَن شَاءَ مِنكُمْ أَن يَسْتَقِيمَ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday March 17th 2017 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 18th of Jamadu-Thani 1438 Hijri.
