The Honor to Be a Servant of One’s Lord

“Those who are in the presence of your Lord [and angels] do not disdain to adore Him. They continually celebrate and exalt His praises, and to Him they prostrate”. (Quran 7:206) إِنَّ الَّذِينَ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِ وَيُسَبِّحُونَهُ وَلَهُ يَسْجُدُونَ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday March 3rd 2017 C.E. at Annoor Mosque, the 4th of Jamadu-Thani 1438 Hijri.

The Need of Reverence to Know One’s Lord

“Surely this revelation is the most ascertaining eye opener. Therefore, praise the Name of your Lord incessantly; for He is indeed the Most Magnificent”. (Quran 69:51-52) “Take the needed provisions with you, though piety is the best of provisions”. Awakening Faith During Trials

“[O believers!] You will be tried with attempts against your properties and persons, and you will hear from the people who were given the Book before you, and from the polytheists taunting and provocative words, but if you endure patience and hold to your piety, it would be a better show of resoluteness”. (Quran 3:186) لَتُبْلَوُنَّ فِي أَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَنفُسِكُمْ وَلَتَسْمَعُنَّ مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا أَذًى كَثِيرًا ۚ وَإِن تَصْبِرُوا وَتَتَّقُوا فَإِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ الْأُمُورِ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday February 17th 2017 C.E. at Annoor Mosque, the 20th of Jamadul Ulaa 1438 Hijri.

The Pious will surely be Gratified

“Say [to them]: “Each person acts according to standards he adopts for himself, and your Lord knows best who is better guided”. (Quran 17:84) قُلْ كُلٌّ يَعْمَلُ عَلَىٰ شَاكِلَتِهِ فَرَبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ هُوَ أَهْدَىٰ سَبِيلًا  Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday February 10th 2017 C.E. at Annoor Mosque, the 13th of Jamadul Ulaa 1438 Hijri.

Allah’s Mercy is Very Near

“Do not sow corruption and vice in the land after it is restored to good moral stature, and implore Him with fear and hope, for Allah’s Mercy is certainly not distant from those who recognize reality”. Hasten To Receive His Forgiveness

“And hasten to receive forgiveness from your Lord, and to win [eternal dwellings in the comfort of] paradise, which breadth extends across the entire heavens and the earth, and that is prepared for the pious ones”. (Quran 3:133) وَسَارِعُوا إِلَىٰ مَغْفِرَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday January 27th, 2017 C.E. at Annoor Mosque, the 1st of Jamadul Ulaa 1438 Hijri. Read Your Records, Be Your Own Judge

“And We placed for each person the garland of his [ultimate] fate around his neck, and on the Day of Resurrection, We will bring forth the book of [his] records which he will find spread open. [Then it will be said to him:] Read your records for yourself. It is sufficient that you reckon your own actions today”. (Quran 17:14-15) وَكُلَّ إِنسَانٍ أَلْزَمْنَاهُ طَائِرَهُ فِي عُنُقِهِ ۖ وَنُخْرِجُ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كِتَابًا يَلْقَاهُ مَنشُورًا • اقْرَأْ كِتَابَكَ كَفَىٰ بِنَفْسِكَ الْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكَ حَسِيبًا Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday December 30th, 2016 C.E. at Annoor Mosque, the 1st of Rabi’u Thani 1438 Hijri.

Worship at Times of Turmoil

“Allah brightens and make shine [the face of] someone who hears what I say and understand it correctly, then delivers and conveys what I said to someone who did not hear it, for perhaps a recipient may have better understanding than a listener.(Prophetic Saying) نضَّرَ الله امْرَأً سَمِع مقالتي فَوَعَاهَا، فبَلَّغها مَن لَم يَسْمَعْهَا، فَرُبَّ مُبَلَّغٍ أَوْعَى لَهُ مِنْ سَامِعٍ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday December 23rd, 2016 C.E. at Annoor Mosque, the 24th of Rabi’ul Awwal 1438 Hijri.

Heed and Follow the Best of Guidance

“Announce the good news to My servants. Such ones, when they listen to the admonition, they heed and follow what is best in its guidance. Those are the ones whom Allah has guided, and they are the ones who can benefit from their good understanding.” (Quran 39:17-18) فَبَشِّرْ عِبَادِ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَمِعُونَ الْقَوْلَ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ أَحْسَنَهُ ۚ أُولَـٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ هَدَاهُمُ اللَّـهُ ۖ وَأُولَـٰئِكَ هُمْ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday December 16th, 2016 C.E. at Annoor Mosque, the 17th of Rabi’ul Awwal 1438 Hijri. Rituals In Our Lives

“And when you are greeted with good regards, return the greeting with better regards, or return the same.
