“Some of you crave to bask in the pleasures of this world, and others seek the reward of the hereafter”. “And We fortified their hearts with courage and resolve, as they woke up and said: “Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. “And We did send Messengers to their people before you, and We plagued them with hardships and material losses so that perhaps they would humble themselves and implore for mercy”. “How can there be doubt about the Divine Sovereign Lord, the Originator and Creator of the heavens and the earth. He is only inviting you to forgive you some of your sins, and to grant you respite for a preset term”. “By the soul and He Who assigned its due purpose, and Who made known to it [what amounts to] immorality and [what constitutes] piety”. “They certainly did not estimate Allah’s Supreme Authority correctly, when in fact, the entire earth is in his control on the Day of Judgement, and the heavens are all folded by His infinite Grace [and overall ruling command]. Most exalted is He, and He surely transcends all alleged partners they ascribe to Him”. But one who [strives to] purify himself [by bearing witness to the sole universal sovereignty of Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah,] will achieve success [in the hereafter].
