“I have never seen someone like Ahmad ibn Hanbal. We were with him for fifty years and he never boasted to us of anything of his goodness and righteousness.”
In this book, you will meet the companions of Allah’s messenger (sal), upon whom be peace. You will travel in time and bring back to the present they early days of the Divine revelation. Your feelings will interact with the companions’ feelings. Your aspirations will tower up to their aspirations. You will see them responding to the call of Allah the Almighty, and to the Messenger of Allah (sal) and you will walk with them the markets of Mecca and Medina. You will cry when they cried, and laugh when they laughed.
This is a raw display of events and people that surrounded the life of Allah’s messenger (sal), upon whom be peace. On the other hand, it is a most refreshing spiritual encounter one must keep evoking until the day of resurrection.
The wealth of traditions reported in this book will satisfy any heart seeking living testimonies of the piers and authors of true Islamic spirituality. They will help polish a tarnished heart, and they will beautify a pious one.
Upon reading these excerpts and testimonies, doubt must be erased from the truth-seeking heart, and it must be replaced with knowledge that flows from the innermost soul of one brother to another, and from one sister to another.
