“Is it not time for those who have faith that their hearts should soften and become humbled when they hear [the Quranic] admonition from the Absolute Sovereign Lord and the truth that came down, and that they should not be like those who were given a Book, but when time [between Messengers] elapsed [and seemed too long,] their hearts hardened, for a good number of them lead a dissolute life”. (Quran 57:16)
