Praise The Omnipresent Lord

Written: May 12, 2020

Delivered: May 8, 2020

  • Allah s.w.t’s majesty is subtle and always present.
  • Allah swt is in control of everything and nothing happens unless He wants it to.
  • Before the creation, Allah swt praised Himself by saying “Subhan-Allah walhumdu- Lillah

Wa- La ilaha il Allah wa- Allahu Akbar wa la hawla wa la quwata illah billah Al- Alyu- Al Atheemu.” This is the primal reality

  • Hadeeth: “ The words Allah swt loves most are Subhan-Allah walhumdu- Lillah

Wa- La ilaha il Allah wa- Allahu Akbar wa la hawla wa la quwata illah billah Al- Alyu- Al Atheemu.”

  • Allah swt is supreme above all.
  • Allah swt says: “ And the believers, each one of them believes in Allah, the angels, the holy books, and all of Allah’s messengers. We make no distinction in the ranks of the messengers. And they say “We hear and we obey, forgive us our Lord and to you is our return.””
  • Glorify the greatness of Allah swt 100 times, celebrate Subhan-Allah 100 times, and attribute all goodness to Allah swt 100 times. It will fit between the earth and the sky, and no one’s deeds can match what you did except if they did it themselves.
  • Those invoke Allah’s praises among the men and women, Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a magnificent reward on the day of judgement.
  • Whoever wants to be with Allah swt, they are already there.
  • Act upon Allah swt’s commands and you will be successful and happy.
  • 8 gateways to enter Jannah:
  1. Bab- u-Salat: for those who pray extensively
  2. Bab-u- Ryan: for those fast extensively
  3. Bab-u- Sadaqah: for those who give sadaqa and zakat
  4. Bab-u- Jihaad fee Sabib- lillah: for those who struggle on Allah’s path.
  5. Bab-ul- Hajj wa Umrah: for those who go to hajj and umrah.
  6. Bab-u- Silah:   those who keep their womb ties respected.
  7. Bab-u tauba: gateway of repentance. The door for repentance will remain open until the sun rises from the west.

  • There is no tree in paradise except that on every leaf is written La ilaha Il- Allah Muhammad RasoolAllah.
  • A muslim realizes that only Allah swt’s will takes affect. His will is supreme above all and nothing can rise above it.
  • There can be no existence without Allah swt.
  • Obeying Allah swt and RasoolAllah s.aw under every circumstance means Imaan.
  • The maleka pray for the believers because they want them to be successful.

To Guard One’s Tongue

Written:  March 29,2020

Delivered: May 17, 2019

  • The safety of a believer is to guard their tongue.
  • True patience is to be quiet at hard/difficult times.
  • One who speaks a lot shows lack of wisdom
  • A true believer speaks when necessary and stays silent when necessary.
  • Allah swt does not like a lying tongue.
  • A human tongue can be key to do good or a key to do bad.
  • Allah swt gave 4 doors to keep the tongue from speaking: The 2 lips, the jaws, and the both sides.
  • When a person is proud of what they say you should know very well that they are a loser.
  • Silence is a message. One expression can communicate your feelings much better than 1000 words.
  • Hadith: “The one who believes in Allah swt and the akira should speak good words or remain silent.”
  • Whoever does not give up forged speech or evil actions, Allah swt does not want their fasting from food and water.
  • Omar bin Khuttab says: “ Fasting does not mean to refrain from food and water, but to abstain from lying falsehood and vain talk.”
  • Hadith: “when you fast, let your hearing, your tongue and your sight fast from speaking, falsehood vain talk, and what is impermissible.”
  • Your fast does not count if you backbite.
  • Fasting is an exalted act of worship.
  • Everything you say is immediately recorded by the angels.
  • Hadith: “ A true muslim is a person that other people are safe from his hands and toungue.”
  • Maleka praise Allah from whatever station Allah put them in.
  • You must go to the masjid to adore Allah swt, not to talk to your friends.
  • Hadith: whoever talks a lot makes a lot of pitfalls and mistakes. Do not talk a lot unless it is about Allah swt. Whoever talks a lot his heart is hardened and the people farthest from Allah swt are the ones with hard hearts.”
  • The best role model is RasoolAllah s.a.w
  • One may say something without giving it a thought and then forget about it. That one word or phrase can be the reason he is thrown into hell fire for 70 years.
  • Hadith: “ A person might say a good thing without knowing the value of it and Allah swt may raise him to a higher station.”
  • Cemeteries have buried many victims of the tongue. People whose rivals feared them because of the words they spoke, and they ended being killed because of that.
  • Hadith: “ fasting is a shield of guardianship and charity extinguishes the fire of sin.”
  • Whoever asks for forgiveness for every believing man and every believing woman, Allah swt writes a good deed for the asker for every believing man and woman.

The Quran is a Critical Reminder

Written: April 6, 2020

Delivered: ??

  • Hadeeth:  “The words that are dearest to Allah swt are four: SubhanAllahi Wa-Alhumdullilahi, Wa- Allahu Akbar.
  • SubhanAllah also means that Allah s.w.t is always present.
  • Wa- Alhumdulilahi is that Allah s.w.t is the source of all goodness, and acknowledging all divine favours.
  • Wa- Allahu akbar means Allah swt is The Greatest without any comparison in power, mercy and compassion.
  • You must know as an absolute fact that there is no Divine Sovereignty except that of Allah swt and ask for forgiveness for yourself and the believers.
  • Our whole story begins with knowledge. When Adam a.s was created, Allah swt taught him the reality and truth that there is no Divine Sovereignty except that of Allah swt.
  • First learn, then begin to do what is correct.
  • The Quran is the truth of your Lord so, listen and obey. Allah swt will then guide you to the straight path.
  • Anas bin Malik said that RasoolAllah s.a.w says: “ To sit with people celebrating Allah’s praises from asr to maghreb is more dear to Allah then freeing 4 slaves.”
  • Hadith: “ To ask for forgiveness and to say La Ilaha Il-Allah is the most rewarding of devotions.”
  • To remain ignorant and not seek knowledge if one has the means to is a sin.
  • Only be concerned with how you should worship Allah swt correctly, and Follow RasoolAllah s.a.w.
  • The ones that are near to Allah never tire from praising Him.
  • People forget about death and the day of judgement.
  • Everyone will die. For the believers it will just be a change of scenery because they are always in a pure state praising Allah.
  • Celebrate the praises of your Lord from sunrise to sunset and every part of the day until you fall asleep.
  • No one has the right to be worshipped except for Allah swt.

Hasten Back To Your Lord

Written: March 24,2020

Delivered:

  • Hadeeth: “ There is a moment on Friday from the time the imam comes to say the Khutba to the time the salat is concluded, all duas are accepted.”
  • Hadith: “ The best of your days is Friday, say lots of durood because your salawat on me is brought before me.”
  • Ayah: “ whatever calamity you suffer is what you earn for yourself through your own actions, yet Allah pardons you a lot still. You have no one besides Allah to protect you.”
  • Hadith: “ At the end of times there will be so much calamity, diseases, and disaster that when a person walks past a graveyard they will wish to be buried in it.”
  • The unjust will be laughing and broadening their power and cruelty. They will think they are unstoppable, The unjust are unconcerned about the prayers of the oppressed and helpless when they cry to Allah swt for help. Allah hears their prayers and will manifest His power and seize the unjust.
  • Luqman the wise said to his son: “ O my son! Even if a deed carries the weight of a mustard seed which is lurking inside a rock, or across the havens, or deep in the earth, Allah swt will bring it up on the day of judgment.”
  • People cannot have doubt  anymore because they will run to the mosque in fear of the calamity that befell on them.
  • People continue to do evil and are met with difficult times in return, only then do they remember their Lord & plead Him to stop the difficulties, but they must face the consequences of their own actions.
  • The tauba  is an inspiration from Allah swt, inviting people to come back to Him, surely He is very close.
  • Those who follow the guidance that is brought to them are blessed.
  • Only what Allah swt wants takes place.
  • Islam is a permanent connection between an abd and their Lord swt.
  • After Islam comes Istislam meaning to completely accept Allah’s will, to be completely content with your destiny.

The Tree Of The Prophets

Written: July 6, 2020

Delivered: July 3,2020

  • Allah swt reminds us of the prophets and messengers He sent to mankind. The warnings and glad tidings they brought to nations and the reward of those who obeyed and of those who disobeyed.
  • The tree of the Prophets is a road map to understand the Divine mercy and guidance.
  • 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers came to humanity to remind them of their mission and how they should behave.
  • If it were not for the tree of the prophets people would live wild and die without achieving any success.
  • It is Allah swt’s mercy and compassion that He sent us prophets and messengers, holy books and scholars to show us how we should behave and to know Allah swt.
  • Adam a.s lived 1000 years and after him came Idrees a.s. Idrees a.s is the first human who started writing with a pen . He was also the first one who sewed clothes and taught it to the people. Idrees a.s understood very well the language of the stars and galaxies. He lived for about 865 years when Allah swt raised him to the fourth he had his soul taken back. That was where he met RasoolAllah s.a.w during the miraaj.
  • After Idrees a.s came Nuh a.s and after him Hud a.s.
  • The people of Hud as were idol worshippers. They hit the prophet and abused him. Allah swt destroyed that town by a howling wind which continued for 7 nights and 8 days. The people were overthrown on the ground like palm trees tumbled down. This is the state of only one town because of their sins not the globe.
  • After Hud as came Salih as. The miracle of the she camel.
  • After Salih a.s came Ibrahim as .
  • We are the children of Nuh as.
  • The people of Ibrahimas worshipped stars. They harmed and attacked him when he called them to Islam.
  • After Ibrahim as came Shuayb as. His people worshipped idols and were dishonest in business.Shuayb as said to them: “ Do you not fear the consequences of what you are doing O people? I am a trustworthy messenger sent to you.” The people were corrupt and Allah swt took care of that town.
  • Then came sayyidina Ismail a.s and he lived for 100 years and he is buried next to his mother. His brother Ishaaq as lived for 180 years  and is buried next to his father in Palestine.
  • Then came sayyidina Yaqub as. He lived for 147 years. After him came Yusuf as who lived for 110 years.
  • Then came sayyidina Ayoob as who lived 93 years.
  • Then Dhul Kifl as, then Yunus as, then Musa as who lived for 120 years and his brother Haroon as.
  • Then came Yusha Bin Noon, then came Iliya. Then Yasaa, and Uzair, Dawood, Sulaiman Zakaria, Yahya and then  Isa ibn Maryum as. Then came the seal of prophets Muhammed saw.
  • Allah swt says in the Holy Quran: “ Mankind was one nation. Then we sent prophets and messengers to give glad tidings and to warn the people. He sent down with them the book. To judge amongst the people in what they have disputes among themselves about it.”
  • All the prophets were one Ummah with the same message.
  • No ummah (after they divided) can bypass their term or leave earlier.
  • Every time a messenger came to a nation with the truth, the people would deny and call him a liar.
  • Let those who believe rely on Allah swt.
  • Remind the people of the message, but the deaf cannot hear the call.
  • When people hear something they don’t want to hear they refuse to accept, they argue and then they walk away.
  • People must accept the message before the big calamity befalls them because of their sins.
  • RasoolAllah s.a.w says: “ I have seen the parade of all nations on the day of qiyamah. I saw a prophet who had very few followers, then I saw another prophet who had 1 or 2 followers and some prophets with none at all. Then a huge multitude of people were shown to me. I thought that these were my people but then I was told “ these are the followers of Musa a.s , but look there at the horizon.” I looked at the horizon and saw a huge multitude of people. Then I was told to look at the other side and saw another huge multitude of people and I was told” This is your ummah and among them are 70 000 people who will enter Jannah without questioning.”
  • Follow the way of Ibrahim as for Allah swt loved him and he was among the near ones.
  • The title ‘muslim’ was given to us by Ibrahim a.s.
  • Our souls are Noor.
  • The Noor in your heart will shine on your face when you recite durood.
  • When reciting durood it is immediately delivered to RasoolAllah s.a.w.

Say La Ilaha Il-Allah

Delivered: July 24, 2020

Written: July 29, 2020

  • Allah swt controls all destinies
  • True knowledge is acknowledging that there is no Divine Sovereignty except Allah swt.
  • La Ilaha Il-Allah is the reason for knowledge and the key to paradise .
  • Ayah: “ We revealed to every messenger before you that there is no Divine Sovereignty except that of Allah so obey Him. Warn the people that there is no Divine power other than Allah, Beware of Him. We enjoined on the people who were given the book before you, and you as well to act piously towards Allah swt to fear the consequences of disobeying Him.”
  • Allah swt only created humans and jins so that they would worship Him. That is the sole purpose of our existence, to celebrate the praises of Allah swt.
  • We are in need of worshipping Allah swt as much as the planet needs water and sun to blossom.
  • Bury your ego, pride and selfishness.
  • We must never object to Allah swt’s will.
  • Hadith: “There are no better days than the first 10 days of Dhil- Hajj. Allah swt loves these 10 days.”
  • One of the best good deeds is to ask for forgiveness.
  • Devote yourself to Allah swt and worship Him for Him and do not ask for anything in return.
  • Sins physically trail after the person who committed them.
  • Only the elite people commit good deeds and make ibadah to please Allah swt and they do not ask for anything in return.
  • The deen is a total compliance.
  • The price of knowledge is extremely expensive and requires performance and application. The results are very very impressive and satisfying.
  • While the price for ignorance is cheap and the consequences are harsh and painful.
  • Sins distance you from Allah swt and block favourable blessings.
  • Sins corrupt hope and is the cause for unanswered prayers.
  • Abu Hurarira r.a asked RasoolAllah s.a.w : “ Who will be the happiest people on the day of qiyama?” RasoolAllah s.a.w replied “ The ones who asked for my shifa and sincerely say La ilaha Il-Allah.”
  • We must be self aware and question our state of submission to Allah swt
  • Say La ilaha Il-Allah and you will forever be happy

    • Islam was sent to people as a blessing not as a burden
    • To declare yourself as a muslim without any commitment is not Islam. In order to be muslim, one must comply to all the rules of Islam.
    • Each person receives a rank based on the amount of good deeds they commit. You do more you get more , you do less you get less.
    • Islam is a ranks the first rank لا اله الا الله محمد رسول الله
    • The second rank is our testimony which is أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وأشهد أن محمد عبده ورسوله
    • The third rank of Islam is         سبحان الله و الحمد لله و لا اله الا الله وهو اكبرلا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله عليالعظيم
    • The fourth rank is the fourth kalimah
    • The fifth rank is asking for forgiveness
    • Whoever lives in Islam and dies as such will stand with the believrs on the day of judgement.

    • Omar r.a narrarates: “ One day we were sitting in the company of RasoolAllah s.a., and a very handsome and tall man with long black hair approached the Prophet pbuh and sat right in front of him and their knees touched. The man asked RasoolAllah s.a.w “O Muhammed, What is Islam?” The Prophet Pbuh replied “ Islam is testifying that there is no Divine Soverignty other than Allah, and Muhammed is His Messenger. Islam is performing prayers five times a day, giving chairity, paying alms tax, fasting in the month of Ramadan and performing pilgrimage if one has the means to.” The man replied : “ You have spoken the truth.” We were all shocked that the man asked the question and replied as if he knew everything. The man asked another question: “ Tell me, what is faith?” The prophet s.a.w replied: “To believe in the operating powers of Allah swt, to believe in the malaeka, and all the books revealed, to believe in the holy messengers and prophets, to believe in the day of judgment, and that all good and bad are in the hands of Allah swt.” The man replied “ You have told the truth.” and he asked “ Tell me, what is Ihsan?” RasoolAllah s.a.w replied “ To worship Allah as though you see Him, and if you do not see Him you must know He sees you.” The man asked “ Tell me about the last hour.” RasoolAllah s.a.w replied “ The one who was asked about it, does not know more than the one asking.” The man askes “ Tell me about the signs of the last hour.” The prophet s.a.w replied “ The daughter will command the mother, the shepherds will compete in building high rise buildings” The man left and RasoolAllah s.a.w turned to me and asked “ O omar, do you know who that man was?” I replied “ Allah and His Rasool know best.” The Blessed Prophet s.a.w replied “ That was Gibreel. He came to teach you about the deen.”
    • There is no Islam witjout Iman – No submission without faith
    • Islam is general and of majority. Iman is deep and a minority of people have iman.
    • After Iman comes Ihsan and Allah swt’s mercy is always with the people of Ihsan.

A Reminder For The Believers

Written: October 6, 2020

Delivered: Sept 25, 2020

  • Khutba and salat are both zikr
  • Memory is primordial and never dies, our memory plays a major role on our judgement day.
  • Memory is dimmed due to people’s sins, but the memory never dies.
  • Memory is a great blessing and grace from Allah swt.
  • Reminding fixes the memory, that is why reminding the believers is important.
  • Allah swt is aware of our thoughts and actions, He has not forgotten our promise to Him, and He does not fail to preserve the knowledge of what people do.
  • Every creation has their own memories such as malaeka, ants and fire.
  • We are on a journey going back to Allah swt on speed much faster than the miraaj.
  • Learning and seeking knowledge expands and enriches the memory.
  • Hadith: “ Woe to those who persist on doing wrong and insist on continuing to do so knowingly.”
  • We need knowledge to remain steadfast on the path.
  • Ali r.a said: “ knowledge requires practise. If there is no deeds or action knowledge will leave, but if knowledge has reached the depth of the heart it will become a deed.”
  • On the day of judgement, wrongdoers will be recognized by the mark on their faces.
  • All the indulgences and pleasures of this low world have no comparison to the delight of the akhira.

The Crown Of Islam

Written: Sept 29, 2020

Delivered: Sept 18, 2020

  • The crown of Islam is the shahada لا اله الا الله محمد رسول الله This is the title of true understanding, a testimony that is a fixed reality and cannot be challenged.
  • Ayah: “ O people, Allah’s promise is the absolute truth. Let you not be deceived, do not allow yourself to be deceived by the arrogant deceiver. The devil is your enemy, he calls his party of people to become his inmates in the blazing hell fire.”
  • Hadith: “ Worship Allah as if you see Him.”
  • The shahadah is a protective shield to whoever claims it.
  • Islam is the crown of the believer.
  • The believer who wears the crown of Islam is recognized in the heavens and on earth by the angels and all creations.
  • Whoever says لا اله الا الله محمد رسول الله will enter jannah in 3 categories:

– As- Sabeeqoon: The forerunners in faith, ahead of all groups. These ones will be ranked close to the highest favours of Allah swt. Many from the earlier generations and very few from the latter generations.

– An abd who recognizes and acknowledges that Allah swt is their Lord.

– The other ones who follow their whims and desires
