Khutba

” When Abraham and Ishmael were raising the foundation of the House, they prayed: “Our Lord, accept our deed. You are the All-Hearing and the All-Knowing.” – “Our Lord, make both of us submissive to You, and out of our descendants a nation that submits to You. Show us our [required] rituals, and turn to us; for You are surely the Oft-Returning [in pardon and forgiveness], and the Most Merciful.” (Qur’an 2:127-128) وَوَصَّىٰ بِهَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بَنِيهِ وَيَعْقُوبُ يَا بَنِيَّ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَىٰ لَكُمُ الدِّينَ فَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ Friday Khutbah by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday, August 5th, 2022 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 7th of Muharram 1444 Hijri.

“Or better is the one who stays obedient in his devotion [to his Lord] during the late hours of the night, bowing in prostration and standing up [piously], always on his guard, cautious about the inevitable upcoming event of the hereafter, and aspiring sincerely to receive the Mercy of his Lord. [Hence,] Say: “Are those who are endowed with knowledge equal to those who know nothing?” Certainly, only those who have true understanding will be mindful [of this recital].” (Qur’an 39:9) أَمَّنْ هُوَ قَانِتٌ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ سَاجِدًا وَقَائِمًا يَحْذَرُ الْآخِرَةَ وَيَرْجُو رَحْمَةَ رَبِّهِ Friday Khutbah by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday, July 22nd, 2022 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 23th of Dhul Hijjah 1443 Hijri.

“Fear (the consequences of disobeying) Allah, for Allah is the One who teaches you, and Allah surely knows everything..” (Qur’an 2:289) وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۖ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ اللَّهُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ Friday Khutbah by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday, July 15th, 2022 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 16th of Dhul Hijjah 1443 Hijri.

“Each one of you is a shepherd, and every shepherd is responsible for his flock. The Imam is a shepherd, and he is responsible for his community, the husband is a shepherd, and he is responsible for his family, the wife is a shepherd and she is responsible for her family and children, and the worker is a shepherd, and is responsible for the property of his employer… Surely, you are all shepherds and you are responsible for your flock.” (Prophetic Hadith) كُلُّكُمْ رَاعٍ وَكُلُّكُمْ مَسْؤُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ Friday Khutbah by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday, June 17th, 2022 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 18th of Dhul Qa’dah 1443 Hijri.

“Also [mention] Thu-Noon, when he left off in anger and thought that We cannot control him. He then cried out from the deep layers of darkness [inside the belly of the whale]: “Surely there is no Absolute Sovereign Lord except You, most Exalted are Your praises, I was certainly of the unjust ones.” (Qur’an 21:87) لَّا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ Friday Khutbah by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday, June 10th, 2022 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 11th of Dhul Qa’dah 1443 Hijri.

“Help each other to do what is good and beneficial and to uphold piety, but do not cooperate in support of sins and aggression towards others, and beware of Allah, for Allah is most strict in punishment“. (Qur’an 5:2)  أَعِينُونِي عَلٰى أَنْفُسِكُمْ بِكَثْرَةِ السُّجُودِ Friday Khutbah by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday, May 20th, 2022 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 19th of Shawwal 1443 Hijri.

“Whoever does good deeds having faith, whether a male or a female, We will grant him a good life, and We will compensate them later with better rewards than what they did”. (Qur’an 16:97) مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنثَىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَنُحْيِيَنَّهُ حَيَاةً طَيِّبَةً ۖ وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْرَهُم بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ Friday Khutbah by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday, May 20th, 2022 C.E. at Annoor Jami Mosque, the 19th of Shawwal 1443 Hijri.

ِ”After I am gone, you will see great conflict. I urge you to adhere to my Sunnah and the Sunnah path of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs. Cling stubbornly to it, and beware of newly-invented matters, for every innovation is a going astray“.
