Sufficient is Your Lord for Guide

Say: “What! Are you there to instruct Allah about your religion when Allah knows everything in the heavens and on earth!”. (Quran 49:16) قُلْ أَتُعَلِّمُونَ اللَّـهَ بِدِينِكُمْ وَاللَّـهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ وَاللَّـهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday January 6th, 2017 C.E. at Annoor Mosque, the 8th of Rabi’u Thani 1438 Hijri.

Read Your Records, Be Your Own Judge

“And We placed for each person the garland of his [ultimate] fate around his neck, and on the Day of Resurrection, We will bring forth the book of [his] records which he will find spread open. [Then it will be said to him:] Read your records for yourself. It is sufficient that you reckon your own actions today”. (Quran 17:14-15) وَكُلَّ إِنسَانٍ أَلْزَمْنَاهُ طَائِرَهُ فِي عُنُقِهِ ۖ وَنُخْرِجُ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كِتَابًا يَلْقَاهُ مَنشُورًا • اقْرَأْ كِتَابَكَ كَفَىٰ بِنَفْسِكَ الْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكَ حَسِيبًا Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday December 30th, 2016 C.E. at Annoor Mosque, the 1st of Rabi’u Thani 1438 Hijri.

“Allah brightens and make shine [the face of] someone who hears what I say and understand it correctly, then delivers and conveys what I said to someone who did not hear it, for perhaps a recipient may have better understanding than a listener.(Prophetic Saying) نضَّرَ الله امْرَأً سَمِع مقالتي فَوَعَاهَا، فبَلَّغها مَن لَم يَسْمَعْهَا، فَرُبَّ مُبَلَّغٍ أَوْعَى لَهُ مِنْ سَامِعٍ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday December 23rd, 2016 C.E. at Annoor Mosque, the 24th of Rabi’ul Awwal 1438 Hijri.

Heed and Follow the Best of Guidance

“Announce the good news to My servants. Such ones, when they listen to the admonition, they heed and follow what is best in its guidance. Those are the ones whom Allah has guided, and they are the ones who can benefit from their good understanding.” (Quran 39:17-18) فَبَشِّرْ عِبَادِ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَمِعُونَ الْقَوْلَ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ أَحْسَنَهُ ۚ أُولَـٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ هَدَاهُمُ اللَّـهُ ۖ وَأُولَـٰئِكَ هُمْ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ Friday Khutba by Shaykh Al-Akili on Friday December 16th, 2016 C.E. at Annoor Mosque, the 17th of Rabi’ul Awwal 1438 Hijri. “And when you are greeted with good regards, return the greeting with better regards, or return the same. “Allah is the One Who made the best accounts come down [to you]; in a Book wherein some verses may resemble others, yet, uncovering two opposite pathways.
